Britney Spears gave an interview held with her sister, Jamie Lynn, saying that she “never had to work for anything”.

Jamie Lynn’s Good Morning America interview caused controversy before it even aired. As a trailer for the interview where she is announcing her new book Things I should say, which went viral online, Britney took to Instagram to throw some shade in her sister’s way, posting a photo of a typewriter and asking fans if she should “start over” .

Now, the interview has aired and Jamie Lynn talks about Britney’s role as a protector and her alleged conduct. That doesn’t seem to sit well with Britney, who wrote a lengthy statement on Twitter about the whole affair. While much of the content was about her battling a fever, she hit back at some of her sister’s comments.

“15 years ago she was never around me at the time,” she said. “So why are they even talking about it unless she wants to sell a book at my expense.”

Britney also got emotional about Jamie Lynn performing remixed versions of Britney’s songs.

“I know that sounds like a silly thing to most people but I wrote a lot of my songs and my sister was the kid,” she wrote.

“She never had to work for anything. Everything is always given to her! I remember asking my sister why she did that knowing I was waiting to change my program and her only words were “Well, that’s not what I meant…” Hy Hope your book is a great success, Jamie Lynn! “

In her interview, Jamie Lynn also said she tried to help her sister but “didn’t want to get involved” in a management role.

“I didn’t understand what was going on, and I wasn’t focused on it either,” she said.

“I focused on the fact that I was 17 years old and had a baby. I understood very little about it then and now. ”

Britney hit back, saying she always takes the highway when it comes to her sister.

“But look, I’ve always been the greater one. They all have to DO IT and PLAY ME and I always sit there and grab it… So yeah, they ruined my dreams. My family ruined my dreams 100 billion percent and tried to make me look crazy… My family loves to drag me down and hurt me so I loathe them!

“The lesson Psss learns from all this is don’t trust anyone or anyone… make your dogs and cats your family and take care of your own death!”
