Dying Light 2 has a new trailer in the final showcase

In 2015, Techland released a survival horror game that instantly broke the genre’s first-month sales record. Dying light tells the story of an undercover agent named Kyle Crane, who was placed in a zombie-infested quarantine in Harran city, Middle East. This February, Dying Light 2: Stay human will launch on current and final generation consoles and PCs.

Dying Light 2 introduces a new protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, and the game takes place in a large European urban setting known simply as the City. The open world map will be about four times larger than Dying light and, while the main story of the sequel could be completed in about 20 hours, Dying Light 2 provides about 500 hours of gameplay in total. There will be plenty of side quests, a bunch of story options and dialogue, collectibles, and different endings to keep players busy for a very long time.

As of May 2021, Techland has shared a series of videos called Dying 2 Know which reveal a lot of information about Dying Light 2’s skills and abilities, enemies, combat, gear, and general gameplay, and features interviews with members of the development team. The final video in the series was released on Thursday and details the game’s co-op mode. At the same time, a new game trailer called “The Reason” explores one of the driving forces behind Aiden Caldwell’s The City.

In the trailer, viewers catch a glimpse of Aiden’s sister Mia, from whom he was separated as a child when a man named Waltz Herder, may have been a member of the gang. Dying Light 2’s Peacekeeping faction, kidnapped her. Aiden had come to The City to ask Waltz to tell him where she was, but the man of course wouldn’t just provide information. He has a price tag, though it’s not clear in the trailer. The video then goes on to show some of Aiden’s experiences in The City as he is presumably reunited with his sister.

One moment in the new trailer that made many viewers excited is the mention of the main character of the original game, Kyle Crane. A voice said: “Who would have thought the end of the world could be so peaceful? I wish Crane could see this.” Many comments on the video expressed their nostalgia to hear his name and said it made them even more excited for the upcoming sequel.. Other comments mentioned that the voiceover quality in this single trailer, coupled with the incredible graphics, convinced them that Dying Light 2 would be a great game that could have been many awards.

Dying Light 2: Stay human will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 4, 2022.
